Ioannis Tsilikis

Ioannis Tsilikis received his B.Sc. degree in Information Technology Applications in Business Administration and Economics from the Technological Educational Institute of the Ionian Islands, Greece, in 2010. He holds an M.Sc. degree in Technologies and Services for Intelligent Information and Communication Systems, specializing in Intelligent Cyber Systems and Services, from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Peloponnese, Greece (2022). He also holds professional Cisco networking certifications.

Since 2023, he is a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Engineering, University of Peloponnese. His research focuses on optimized performance and cybersecurity management techniques for next-generation wireless networks (5G/6G, Wi-Fi, and LoRaWAN) using Network Function Virtualization (NFV/NFVI) technologies. 

With more than 15 years of professional experience, he has worked as a Network and Security Administrator in the IT sector and within the EUNICE (European University for Customised Education) alliance. He is a co-author of e-learning material for the Network Architect program at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since 2020, he serves as Administrator of the Greek School Network, and since 2025 he also manages the central network infrastructure and security systems of CTI Diophantus. He is a member of the GRNOG.
