Dr. Epameinondas Panagopoulos

Epameinondas Panagopoulos is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Education and Social Work, University of Patras, with the subject "Social Theory and Professional Identities." He teaches at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
His academic career is accompanied with essential distinctions and scholarships, such as the one awarded by the "Andreas Mentzelopoulos Foundation" for his doctoral thesis. With many years of research experience in European Erasmus+ projects, as a researcher at the Computer Technology Institute and Press "DIOPHANTUS" (CTI), he has actively contributed to innovative actions focusing on educational technology, social inequality in education, diversity management, and school culture. At the same time, he has participated in research projects exploring the importance of social networks in the production of knowledge and the emergence of educational learning communities. 
His research interests are in the of the Sociology of Education and, in particular, issues related to trust, the study and analysis of social networks, identity, citizenship, and the implementation of educational practices, both at the level of policy transfer and policy learning. He has also authored more than 30 articles, most of which have been published in international and national journals, as well as in conference proceedings. He is considered familiar as a researcher with both quantitative and qualitative approaches. He has participated in more than 20 international and national conferences, the themes of which have mainly been the Sociology of Education, European citizenship, recurrent crises (permacrisis), and methodological approaches.
