Dr. Thomas Zarouchas

Thomas Zarouchas was born in Drama, Greece in 1977. He graduated from the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, University of Patras (UoP) in 2002. He then joined the Audio and Acoustic Technology Group (UoP) as a researcher in 2002, completing his doctoral dissertation in 2010.

His main research interests focus on digital signal processing for audio applications, psychoacoustics, room acoustics, digital audio applications for multimedia and communication networks, e-learning services and educational technologies. In 2012 he joined the Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus”, primary working for the design of innovative e-learning information systems. He has authored and presented his research work in scientific journals and international conferences and has co-authored two textbooks for the Master Course “Acoustic Design and Multimedia” of the Hellenic Open University and the textbook “Audio, speech and music processing and analysis” for the Hellenic Academic eBooks Repository “Kallipos”. He has also participated in several international and national projects. Dr. Zarouchas Thomas is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
